Though cheap atmosphere, quality of foods have top quality !

Though it will soon be May, it still sometimes cold.
I feel uncomfortable with the weather 🙁

Let me get warm with remembering yakitori and chickens pot on such a cold day 😛

Appearance, Kawaei (Akabane)

The shop handles eels and chickens meat. The shop mainly sells those meats, but also have eating space in the rear of the shop and at the upstairs.
Around Akabane station have many inexpensive shops and restaurants. Kawaei is one of the shops and restaurants.

The seats at upstairs can be reserved. But when I telephoned the shop, I was said “The seats that can be reserved were already in full, but you may be able to have seats when you come.”Actually, I went there, I found there was one table in vacant fortunately.
I felt comfortable in the shop by any standard, small table, hard chair, narrow, old ….. but I know such a uncomfortable shop usually have delicious foods 😀
I expected that time, too.

Appetizer came. Smoked duck. Charge was 200 yen. Gooood! My heart leaped with expectations !

The shop handles eel, too, but this day, we ordered chickens all.

White lever paste. (鳥の白レバーのペースト) 600 yen

With vegetable chips and senbei !

This liver paste went with senbei well unexpectedly, but vegetable chips were not good with the liver paste 😛
This paste looks like cement from this photo. As you see, it was hard texture. But it was tasty.

Horohoro chickens’ sashimi and tataki (ほろほろ鳥の刺し身&タタキ盛り合わせ) 1000 yen

Chickens sashimi, Kawaei (Akabane)

Horohoro chickens are raised by Ishiguro Farm in Hanamaki-city, Iwate-ken.
This was the first time to eat chickens in raw ! I hesitated to eat the chickens in raw at first. But it was fresh and good.
But I like more tataki than sashimi because tataki had more taste by lightly grilling. It went well with garlick soy sauce 🙂

White meat of Gokokuajidori chickens(五穀味鶏のささみ) 360 yen

It was grilled rare and good with wasabi.

Then, yakitori came.

Chickens liver (レバー) 200 yen

Chickens’ pot made of Horohoro chickens’ soup (ほろほろ鳥のスープで作った地鶏鍋) 1200 yen
For one person. Plentiful ! And we ordered adding the chickens meat balls containing cartilage (150 yen) in the pot.

Its soup was so tasty. Plenty of vegetable were at bottom of the pot.
Those vegetables that had a lot of soup were excellent.

Well, this shop sells their meats wholesales to Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Park Hyatt Tokyo and so on, and the quality is guaranteed !
