New Odayasu 🙂
Odayasu temporarily closed until February 2nd.
And I couldn’t enter the shop because there was some people waiting the other day.
Finally I could go there.
2/2まで臨時休業、その翌週はいっぱいで入れなかった小田保。やっと行ってきました。
They has changed some.
At first, their big change was … the lady working there (chef’s sister) retired. She was hard to deal with. So, I didn’t feel the tension in the air that day. (I didn’t dislike her and many people must have missed her :))
And they prepare menus in English having photos.
There were many foods name on the whiteboard menu (menu of the day). So, it was hard for me to decide soon.
And I managed to decide. Deep fried armored weasel-fish (ヒゲダラフライ, 650 yen), one piece of deep fried oyster (カキフライ, 250 yen), rice set (ごはんセット, 350 yen).
When it was served, I was really surprised at the left deep fried food on the white dish.
器も少し変わった小田保！しかしこの皿に乗ったフライ、注文と違う気がしますね。
Left huge one is deep fried oyster and right is deep fried armored weasel-fish.
I thought left one is pork fillet cutlet. So huge and wide.
コレ出てきたとき「私ヒレカツなんて頼んでないですッ！」って言いそうになった･･･。左カキフライらしいですよ。

I had eaten armored weasel-fish in the hotpot or as sashimi at Kashigashira only. So, I wanted to try it 🙂

As you see, so juicy and soft armored weasel-fish there.
ヒゲダラ。ふんわりジューシーでおいしかったです。
And… it looks like fillet cutlet all the same… But, as soon as I bit it, I felt juicy oyster in my mouth. It was larger than rice bowl… :p I should have taken the photo…
食べるまで、絶対ヒレカツだと思ってましたが、ほんとにカキフライでした。１個揚げ。ちなみにお茶碗からはみ出るサイズです。
I love Odayasu all the same 🙂
