One of the most popular branch of MoriMoriZushi.

The third morning of my trip. we woke up earlier and had breakfast in the hotel as we did the previous morning, and then we went to Omicho Market. Snow fell ! Finally I could meet snow at Kanazawa ! And there was a snowstorm !

Omicho market is like Tsukiji in Tokyo. There’re always lots of people and people buy fresh foods. Bu that day, it wasn’t many people because of such a weather and it was weekday just after New Year’s holiday.

After we walked around Omicho market, we had branch at MoriMoriZushi Omicho branch.

Sushi-go-round restaurant. MoriMorizushi have many branch in all over Japan.But this Omicho branch might be the most popular branch because Kanazawa have head shop of MoriMorizushi and this Omicho branch is at the center of Omicho market in Kanazawa.
There’s an automatic reception in front of the door for busy time.
Sushidai should take this machine at Toyosu :p

But there were many vacant seats that time, so we entered the shop without using the machine.

You know we had gorgeous sushi dinner the previous night. But I like filling my stomach with inexpensive sushi in sushi-go-round shop, too :p

Kanazawa's specialty as sushi ! We had dinner at this sushi restaurant at second night at Kanazawa. Otomezushi. I heard it is really difficult to reserve popular sushi restaurants in Kanazawa and ...

At first, we ordered it. Omicho Santen-mori (近江町三点盛り) 500 yen
“Santen” means three. “mori” is “dish up”. There’re three sushi that is their specialty of the day.
That day, it had chu-toro, flying fish roe (tobikko) and blackthroat seaperch.

Shrimps that can be eaten in Kanazawa was delicious all the same 🙂

We ate Gasu shrimp at this shop, too. As you see, it had sticky texture and was good 🙂

Firefly squid Gunkan-maki (ほたるいか軍艦巻き) 260 yen
Speaking of Hokuriku region like Kanazawa, I imagine more firefly squid than blackthroat seaperch and Kobako crab :p

Firefly squid marinated in black sauce Gunkan-maki (ほたるいか黒作り軍艦巻き) 180 yen
This was the first time to eat it. Black sauce have squid ink, soy sauce and so on. I know “Okiduke” without squid ink and always eat it. But this was good, too.

After that we walked around outside again, but it was extremely cold. There was snowstorm. We ran into the cafe.
