Taiwanese local dinner.
After I went back from Tamusui to the center of Taipei city, I got off at Zhongshan Elementary School station (中山國小站) for having dinner.
When I entered the shop, the lady at the cashier gave me a order sheet. So, I checked the boxes that I want to eat and handed it to the staff nearby.
The lady who I handed my order sheet said something in Chinese, but I couldn’t understand. Probably she said to me “Don’t you need soup ?”.
There were many vacant seats inside the shop even though there were lots of people waiting for “to go”.
But they prepare foods in order including people for “to go”, so it took rather much time to be served.
It took about 10 minutes or so, my dinner was served.
Braised egg (魯蛋, $NT10) and braised bamboo shoot (魯筍絲, $NT30)
As you see, it was seasoned strongly and it went with rice well.
And small of braised minced pork rice (魯肉飯 小, $NT30)
The smell of Illicium verum was strong. So, this is not to everybody’s taste, I guess.Maybe some like it, but others don’t. I didn’t like at first, but it became familiar tastes for me soon 🙂
This was the first time to eat minced pork rice. The rice itself was far better than expected and the braised minced pork was good.
