[Nishi Chiba] Chinese foods at Pekintei (北京亭)

Chiba

I got off at Nishi-Chiba station after long long intervals. I used to get off at this station when I was in high school because my high school was near this station. There’re some high schools and universities. So, there’re many inexpensive restaurants around there.

The reason of our visiting Nishi-chiba is to have lunch at this restaurant. Pekintei (Beijing-tei 北京亭). As its name and color, they are Chinese foods restaurant. But they are rather Sichuan-style foods restaurant. Not Beijing. They stand in front of Chiba University.

Our acquaintance like this restaurant and we asked him to take us to the restaurant 🙂 Though we visited there at late lunchtime, but there were few vacant seats. We reserved in advance and could be seated surrounding the table.

Drinks menu. Fun !

We ordered some foods that he recommended. At first, soup was served. It’s free of charge at lunchtime.

My friend reserved it in advance. Saliva chicken. It’s not on the menu and reservation is required. So much nuts on it. The chicken was juicy and tasty. I liked it.

Saliva chicken (よだれ鶏)

Fried pork liver and Chinese chive. It’s my delight. I love liver 🙂 Those pieces of liver was thick !

Fried pork liver and Chinese chive (ニラレバ炒め) 750 yen

Umani soba. It’s noodles without soup. It was dressed with sauce based on oyster sauce. Good.

Umani soba (うまにそば) 750 yen

Fried rice with thick crab meat sauce. It had much crabs meat.

Fried rice with thick crab meat sauce (蟹のあんかけ炒飯) 850 yen

Boiled beef meat in boiled water. This food name sounds not spicy, but it was extremely spicy !

Boiled beef meat in boiled water (水煮牛肉) 1200 yen

Everything was tasty, but especially, saliva chicken was the best. I’m glad that my friend order it in advance !
