Now is best season for Cherry Salmon and firefly squid !
Salmons that caught this season is called “Cherry salmon”, associated with cherry blossoms that is a symbol of this season.
I couldn’t eat cherry salmon last year because I was so busy…… but this year !
I could eat grilled salted cherry salmon set (サクラマスの塩焼き定食, 1500 yen) at Kato in Tsukiji Market in the early morning 😀
Perhaps you can eat it in this month. Soon !

Also, I tasted Japanese armorhead saikyoyaki set (つぼ鯛の西京焼き定食, 1500 yen) and it was tasty, too.
The fish was so fat.
It didn’t have strong taste of miso, so I wasn’t worried about much salt while eating.
And firefly squid nuta(ほたるいかのぬた, 700 yen) was good too
*Nuta means “with vinegared miso”. Firefly squid is also Spring seafood !
Now, I remember. there is cherry anthias in this season, too. I’ll write about the fish later.
Anglerfish that I ate last time at Kato was delicious, too 🙂

There are too many foreign tourists in Tsukiji Market because of the weak yen.
Even weekday’s early morning.
But I heard that there were fewer people the other cold day.
I was surprised at the weather, too. I wore winter coat from baggage for bringing dry cleaners.
