I think this was the first time to visit Kita-Senjyu. There’s a busy shopping street. After a few minutes walk from the station, we arrived at this cafe Chaka (茶香) that is so popular as soft pancake like bed.

Chaka require reservation in advance on the website because they don’t want everyone to wait in front of the shop (They suffered from many complaints from their neighborhood). It’s available until the previous 6 p.m.

If you can’t reserve on the website, they prepare another way.
They give you waiting card at the shop from 10 a.m. But they don’t prepare it much and you can’t select reservation time.

Chaka have counter seats and some tables. It’s not large cafe. Cozy.

Why their pancakes are so popular ? You’ll realize after you eat their simple pancake. I had Plain pancake and drink set (900 yen). This pancake is the most simple one on the menus.

But their pancake takes much time to be cooked. We waited for 10 minutes or so. It’s rather short because we were first comer.
Three-storied pancake. So soft. It tasted like Soufflé.
Maple syrup is served separately in the heart-shaped container.

Plain pancake

It had a natural sweetness and was enough tasty without maple syrup and butter. Now this is my best pancake in Japan.
