Though there are many restaurants that are open at lunchtime and dinner time, only a few restaurants are open in the morning. Shatenki Nigouten (謝甜記 貮号店) is open from 8:30 a.m. on weekdays, and from 8 a.m. on weekends. So, they are precious restaurant ! Their porridge have refreshing tastes and is suitable for breakfast. By the way, Santa Claus is in front of the shop all year around.
*The head shop is open from 10 a.m. on weekdays, from 9 a.m. on weekends.
They looks small restaurant seen from outside, but they have about 50 seats. If there’s not vacant seats, you can take their foods away and eat in the park.
This is lunch menu. It’s available from the opening time on weekdays。
If you want to eat porridge only, you can order them from the regular menu.
I ordered B set (Bセット, 860 yen) on the lunch menu. It have small size of poriddge, spring roll, shaomai, and dessert. This is spring roll and shaomai. It was already cooked before order. So, it was lukewarm. But the wrapper was crisp and good. Also the shaomai was jucy.
There’s a photo of Chinese pickles on the menu. But somehow they don’t serve Chinese pickles without order. The menu says, “We serve Chinese pickles without charge”. It’s delicious, so you’d better order it.
And this is porridge. It was seasoned with salt lightly. And Chinese deep fried dough, green onion, coriander, and wolfberry is on the priddge.
It’s really suitable for breakfast.
Shatenki’s porridge have two size. Normal (普通) and Small (中碗). Porridge included in lunch set is small. So, if you want to eat much porridge, you’d better order normal porridge.
Dessert after meal. Almond jelly. Also it have canned fruits.
