Hokuriku & Tokai 2016 (19/29) : Hida beef at Maruaki (丸明 飛騨高山店)

Last snow and last meal at Takayama.

Because we had to leave at 2 p.m. by bus, we hurried to the yakiniku restaurant to eat Hida beef.
About 5 minutes walk or so, then we arrived at the restaurant.

14時のバスに乗らなければいけなくなったため、急いで飛騨牛を食べに丸明へ(^^)ノ

Maruaki run meat shop (Hida beef and so on).
They sell thin-sliced small pieces of Hida beef for 250 yen (per 100g). Inexpensive. Someday I want to stay at the hotel having kitchen in the room and have dinner with their Hida beef 🙂

There’s no man outside, but there were lots of people in the shop and the restaurant.

We were sandwiched with workers group and Chinese couples, and last our meal at Takayama started !
Maruaki have inexpensive Weekday’s lunch menus.
My lunch had salads and boiled vegetables.

最後の高山ごはんスタート!(`・ω・´)

Mine was Hida beef steak lunch (飛騨牛ステーキ御膳, 2780 yen). Expensive.
They put thinly sliced fried beaten egg (called “Kinshi tamago”) on the rice and put the steak on it. And thinly sliced onion, deep fried pumpkin. Perilla and wasabi zuke (pickled wasabi). Like bento box. Beautiful.

見た目にも美しい飛騨牛ステーキ御膳。錦糸卵がごはんの上に乗っかっていて、その上にステーキ!

As you see, those slices of Hida beef was so fatty, juicy and tasty.
Hida beef is great !  Serving the steak with sliced onion and wasabi zuke is right because sometime I needed those light foods while eating the steak because the steak had much fat.

お肉がとってもやわらかくておいしい!さすが飛騨牛!脂が多いので、箸休め的な玉ねぎやわさび漬けは大正解でした。

My friend’s meat was Grilled Hida beef with Hooba miso (飛騨牛ほう葉焼き御膳, 1780 yen)

こちらは七輪で自分好みに焼くほう葉みそ焼き御膳。

Marbled Hida beef and vegetables. He grilled it as he like on the shichirin (charcoal grill). By the way, the Chinese couples’eye fixed it and they ordered it soon without rice :p

Certainly, this marbled beef looks splendid and grilling it on the shichirin is fun 🙂
Of course he gave some of it. But I wanted to eat it without hooba miso and season salt and pepper only 🙂

スゴイサシです(*´Д`) 朴葉も味噌もなく、そのまま塩と胡椒だけで食べたいお肉でした。

食後のコーヒーとアイス。高山で過ごせる時間は減ったけれど、その分名古屋で楽しむのだ(`・ω・´)ノ←じつは寒さに滅入っていて少しほっとしていたのはナイショ。

Our last meal at Takayama was splendid 🙂
Because they served our meal quickly, we had much time left and went back to the bus terminal slowly.

Then our bus left Takayama on time and arrived at Nagoya around 5 p.m.
We were disappointed with our short stay in Takayama, but that’s why we could stay longer in Nagoya.
We switched our mind soon !
