Miso Nikomiudon that is a specialty of Nagoya can be eaten in Hongo area
One day cold night, I took a dinner at udon restaurant that serves noodles simmered in miso broth in a pot.
Misonikomin
It is near Hongo-sanchome subway station.
Schochu and appetizer. My appetizer was boiled thinly sliced and dried strips of daikon with soy sauce.
This colorless and transparent liquid looks like water. But be careful ! This is strong sake 😛
Doteni (どて煮) 600 yen
It is pork offal and beef sinew simmered in miso. I wanted to put the sauce on the rice !
Miso-nikomi udon (味噌煮込みうどん) 800 yen
Udon simmered in miso flavored broth.
When the udon was served , the soup was bubbling in the pot. I waited a bit for taking the picture.
Of course, I broke the half boiled egg and mix with the soup.
This was first time to eat miso-nikomi udon for me, I had thought that miso-nikomi udon have more strong miso taste. But I found it isn’t.
So I think I can drink up the soup. But I didn’t because I worried about over consumption of salt.
Wow, I feel like eating it again with this picture :O
Though the restaurant also serves italian miso-nikomi udon and kimchi miso-nikomi udon, those tastes are unimaginable. Umm..
Well, after eating the miso-nikomi udon, we met another friend and went to another udon shop and ate udon again 😛
I’ll write about it later.
