Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu (牛カツ 京都 勝牛) is expanding, and finally their branch was open in my living area.
There wooden furniture on the wooden floor. There’re tables having 2 chairs and 4 chairs, and there’s a rectangle table at the center.
Lunch time is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those are valuable set. Tax excluded. Beef loin cutlet cost over 1300 yen, but there are some set under 1000 yen.
How to delicious eat. They propose “6 delicious”. Kyotama (5) and ponzu (6) need extra fee. Sansho salt (2), soy sauce (1), beef cutlet sauce (3) is prepared on each table, and wasabi (1) and curry sauce (4) is served with cutlet.
And another shichimi pepper, dressing and sesame.
This is beef loin cutlet set. Barley and rice, cutlet, cabbage (with some onion), wasabi, curry, miso soup.
The section of the beef cutlet. The edge of the meat was completely cooked. It’s lean meat. If you want to eat fatty beef, they recommend Beef rib loin cutlet (牛リブロースカツ膳 / 1490 yen). Those are thinly sliced, so I didn’t need to bite, but it had some strings, so it’s hard to bite. Its coating was crisp.
The curry is sweet. So I put shichimi pepper. And it had rich texture, so it’s also good to eat as curry and rice.
I tried 4 ways to eat that Katsugyu recommend, and cutlet sauce and curry was the best all the same. Though the beef cutlet was good, I wasn’t satisfied with the amount of beef.
I heard they serve a variety of part of beef meat at dinner time.
