Shin-Chiba : Towatari Jinja shrine and Chiba-ken Gokoku-jinja shrine

Two biggest shrines at the center of Chiba city

I’m arranging in my PC, and I found the photos that I took at.

I went to Towatari shrine and Chiba-ken Gokoku-jinja shrine 13 August.
(I was not conscious of anniversary of end of war. I forgot it.)

Gokoku-jinja shrine is so large that I couldn’t see all.

Each todofuken have Gokoku-jinja shrine.
So, I thought that I want to have a Goshuin-cho for Gokoku-jinja shrine,
and travel around the country with it.
(Now, I don’t want to do. Fall in and out of love quickly :P)

Towatari Jinja Shrine
I was in from here.(In fact, this is back gate.:()

登渡神社へ行ったんですけど、まちがえて裏門から入っちゃいました(；´Д｀)

This is front gate.(I took the picture later.:P)

こちらが正門でした…。

のぶと、ではなく、とわたり、と読むんですよ(･ω･´）

About Towatari shrine (Sorry, I can’t translation. Too much.)

登渡神社について。

The approach to the shrine.

拝殿への道って、なんか厳かでいいんですよね。

Cyozuya (手水舎)
(place for ritual cleansing of hands and mouth with water when visiting shrines)

小さい手水舎ですね。

なかなかりっぱな拝殿です。

There are many subsidiary shrines within the main precinct (Massha in Japanese)

Sui-jinja Shrine (水神社)

この神社には小さい末社が沢山。これが水神社。

Asama-jinja Shrine (浅間神社)

おなじみの浅間神社（＾＾）

かなり古そうな石碑。

Daishido (大師堂)

大師堂もあるのか･･･そんなに広い神社ではないんですけど。

Inari-jinja shrine (稲荷神社)

そしてやっぱり稲荷神社！

Nobuto Fujiko Tohai (devotional Fuji confraternities) monument (登渡富士講登拝記念碑)

富士講･･･富士山信仰のための神社ということですかね

Goshinsui (sacred water, 御神水)
(Commemoration of the Crown Prince’s wedding celebration)

皇太子御成婚記念に奉納されたようです。こちらは御神水。

So much small shrines!

末社がたくさん！

Of course, I got Goshuin.

御朱印ももらいました（＾＾）

Enshrined deities are Amenominakanushi,Kamimusubi and Takamimusubi.

Chiba-ken Gokoku-Jinja Shrine

そのまま歩いて、千葉県護国神社へ。なんか暗･･･鬱蒼としてます。

So vast ! And I couldn’t find the border between the shrine and Chiba Park.

この神社、とても広いです。

Cyozuya (手水舎)

まずは手をお清め(･ω･´）

Front shrine (拝殿)

かっこいい拝殿。ここに英霊たちが祀られています。

さすが護国神社、迫力がちがいます。

Cherry blossom ?

桜かな？

Because it is Gokoku-jinja shrine,enshrined deities are dead soldiers from End of Edo period to Great East Asian War.
So, there are many monuments.

Memorial stone

御祭神は江戸末期以降のもろもろの戦死者ですから･･

Monument to the faithful who died in battle

さすが護国神社。あちこちに慰霊碑があります。

Monument of honor of Kamikaze heroes (千葉県特攻勇士顕彰碑)

特攻隊の顕彰碑もあります。

(´･ω･`) 勝った者だけが正しいという考えはきっとこれから人間が滅びるまで変わらないんでしょうね。あ、つまり永遠に変わらないのか。

Repose of souls monument for the dead by Sino-Japanese war (日中戦士鎮魂碑)

５００年の間に、日中戦争もありましたね。

It is memorial stone,too. Such many monuments and stones made us realize so large number of people dead because of wars since Edo period.

ほんとモニュメントがいっぱい。それだけ戦争が行われ、死んだ人が多いということか。

もちろんここでも御朱印をいただく。

Honko-zan Soinji Temple

これ、読める人いないんじゃない？(ﾉ∀`)　そういんじ。

Sanctuary tablet. It’s still fresh :).

宗胤寺。まだまだ新しい。

It was still new.

拝殿もとてもきれいだし、立て替えたばっかりかな？

This is Soto sect temple,
Principal Image of Buddha is wooden sedentary statue of the Eleven-faced Kannon.
