Trip to Nagano for enjoying Autumn leaves !
I went on a trip to Nagano for 3 days and 2 nights last month.
I had two purposes. First, for looking Yonako Great Falls. And second, for eating soba at “Sekizawa” that is so famouse soba restaurant.
I wanted to save transportation and accommodation expenses, so I took highway bus and stayed at dormitory room.
I stayed at Suzaka. My accommodation was “Guest House KURA”
My plan was…
1st day Arriving at Nagano sta. , sightseeing at Obuse, stay at Suzaka
2nd day Seeing Yonako Big Falls and onsen, stay at Suzaka
3rd day Eating soba at “Sekizawa”, sightseeing at Zenko-ji temple and going back to home
But, it was first day of 3 day weekend, so my bus arrival at Nagano station was severely delayed.
I arrived at Nagano over 1:00 p.m. I gave up going to Obuse and I decided going to Suzaka directly.
But before that, my stomach was empty. I get motion sickness easily, so I didn’t eat in the bus. Of course, I didn’t have breakfast, too.
So, on arriving at Nagano station, I went to eat meal first.
Ramen Miso-ya
Famous products of Nagano is miso. This miso ramen (味噌らぁめん, 650 yen) was used the good quality miso.
It was so tasty. There was no taste like fishes, vegetables or meats. But I felt the plenty taste of miso itself. Good miso made the ramen so tasty. For spicy food lovers, the ramen shop serves spicy miso ramen 🙂
I also ordered a boiled egg. I had thought my boiled egg come in my bowl, but it came in its shell.
My neighborhood ate her boiled egg with salt.
I saw her and I did, too.
After I got full, I took a Nagano Electric Railway train to Suzaka station.
I arrived at Suzaka so earlier than expected, So ,at first, I went to my accommdation to leave my luggage and then I went to sightseeing at Suzaka.
I didn’t have the plan to see something at Suzaka, so, I didn’t know where to go. But the landlord of an inn introduced me some good places.
There are much old storehouses that is called “Kura”, so I felt I was in Edo period just walking along the street.
Old Kamitakai country hall
It is wooden Western-style architecture built in Taisyo Period. I’m afraid it will fall down if severe earthquake occur (>_<)
Tanaka Honke Museum
Garden. Some leaves turned red.
Photography is prohibited in the museum, and outfit for a bride of wealthy merchant from last Edo period to early Showa era was exhibited in the museum that day. It is held until December 2nd.
Many kimono was so gorgeous 😀 But I also thought those kimono is so heavy…
After that I went back to my accommadation.
On my way to my accommodation, I found some Japanese sake-works 😀
Main products of Suzaka is miso, soy sauce, honey and Japanese sake !
Those products are heavy, so not good for souvenir though those are tasty.
