They continue serving maru-chirashi at lower price.
I visited Motodane located close to the Kachidoki gate of Tsukiji Market at lunchtime after a long long absence.
I visited there in March. So, over half of year have passed.
Unfortunately, Motodane was packed because that day was included in “Silver week”, though it was still Friday.
The chef said to me that he need much time to cook my lunch. He said, “20 minutes or so”. But I couldn’t give up eating Motodane’s maru-chirashi.
So, I waited for 20 minutes, though I knew I couldn’t go back to my office in time.
But it’s worth waiting. Look at this shiny sashimi bowl 🙂
Maru-Chirashi (丸ちらし, 950 yen) is assorted sashimi bowl.
Nakaochi, scallop, squid, shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, octopus and so on. Everything was fresh and tasty. And the tamagoyaki have high reputation ! Miso soup was included.
Nevertheless the consumption tax hike, they keep the price of Maru-chirashi within only 50 yen up.
(Another foods on the menus rose sharply)
By the way, I was surprised that so many people order 1.5 portion of sushi. Certainly, Motodane’s sushi is delicious and inexpensive. I want to eat it again, too 🙂
