The best season of wisteria is very short.
I went to Kameido-ten Jinja shrine with my friend to see wisteria last week.
Kameido-ten Jinja shrine (or Kameido Tenmangu shrine, Kameido shrine) is located about 20 minutes walk from Kameido station and Kinshicho station.
But there were lots of people because wisteria festival was held and it was fine day.
Lots of stalls were along the promenade to shrine.
Clear view of Tokyo Skytree was great 🙂
I didn’t feel wisteria is beautiful flower until quite recently.
But now I’m looking forward to seeing it every Spring.
Kameido-ten Jinja shrine is said to be the greatest viewing wisteria spot in Tokyo and the wisteria festival is held around the end of April to the beginning of May.
But wisteria wasn’t in full bloom. It might be already past their peak, or their peak didn’t come yet. Still it was beautiful.
Small and soft purple flowers were cute.
