I got to Formosa Boulevard (美麗島) station around 4:30 p.m. It was still bright.
I stayed in Jia’s Inn Liouhe Branch (佳適旅舍 六合館) about 10 minutes walk from the station. The road was bumpy. It annoy me with suitcase a bit. There are many restaurants that have good smell. But I was patient.
Where ?
The closest station is City Council station (市議會站). It takes about 5 minutes walk. But if you go to there from the airport, you’d better use Formosa Boulevard station because you have to change trains at the station after all.
Front desk
I saw some information on blogs that they understand Japanese, but the staff who accepted my check-in spoke English at all time.
No problem. I’m happy just they understand English ! (I was in trouble in China because almost all people don’t understand English at all)
It was not large hotel, but compact hotel. And staffs are kind and friendly. I liked this hotel.
Facility
I got card key and went up to 11th floor. There’s only one elevator and it is slow. It took much time to go up. While waiting the elevator, I saw around the front desk.
There’s free drinks corner and PC for internet. I got a cup of coffee and brought it to my room.
My foom
I stayed in narrow single room. There’s no window and really narrow. So, this room is more inexpensive than another rooms. It cost me about 40 USD.
Small room. But I like this narrowness because I could everything on the bed ! :p
There’s TV hanging on the wall at the foot on the bed.
And there’s enough space to put my suitcase (but I couldn’t open the suitcase thoroughly).
But… I was really surprised when I saw this shower room.
This shower can wash both my body and toilet at one time !
I unpacked the suitcase and took a rest until 6:00 p.m. Then I got out of the hotel and went to the night market.
The night market is about five minutes walk from the hotel.
Yes, I decided this hotel only for enjoying Liuhe Night Market (六合夜市) !
Inexpensive, and comfort. And it’s very close to the most popular night market in Kaohsiung. They don’t offer breakfast. But don’t worry. There’s a popular breakfast shop named “Xin Long Ju (興隆居)” close to the hotel. That’s the reason why I recommend this hotel ! If you want to have money-saving trip and enjoy the market, it’s one of good choice !
