I felt like eating Hiyajiru a few days ago. And I searched for it on the internet and found good shop. They serve hiyajiru at lunchtime. Their name is Hijiritei (ひじり亭) and serve hiyajiru at lunchtime.

They are small shop having counter seats and some tables only. Though they are open as izakaya at dinner time, they have lunch menu on weekdays’ lunchtime. There’re only two names on the menu. 30 sets only in total. Hiyajiru is there !

*Simmered chicken ball and tofu (鶏団子と豆腐煮)
*Hiyajiru set(included half size of chicken ball) (冷汁セット)

Hiyajiru is served in summer only.

This is Hiyajiru set. Hiyajiru is local foods of Miyazaki prefecture. This is the hiyajiru. Lots of myoga and perilla on it. Hiyajiru is cold miso soup having cucumber and many condiments. Mostly we put the rice into the soup (or its conversion). It’s very good foods for muggy summer 🙂

Hiyajiru set (冷汁セット) 1000 yen

Hiyajiru set have tororo (grated yam).
